Method of Application

  • The product is spread on the floor, which is lined and for which the surface is prepared so as to ensure prescribed thickness, by means of trowel.

  • On top coat, apply texture roller on the surface to ensure desired pattern.

  • Wait for minimum 4 days before taking into service.

  • Do not keep the equipments in use for more than 40 minutes in the mixture; in case of delay, wash equipments with epoxy thinner. Even though YAPIFINE BASE EPOXY COAT is solvent-free, proper ambient ventilation will help protecting the operator, prevent condensation on paint film and ensure optimum coating performance.

  • Ventilation should continue during curing as well.

Storage and Shelf Life

12 months as of production date in cool, dry and damp-free spaces of +5°C to +25°C, on wooden pallets, without unpacking. Use the unpacked materials as soon as possible.

Safety Measures
  • Do not smoke during application.
  • Working environment should be away from naked flame and well ventilated.
  • Remember that the solvents are heavier than air and they thus may cause revolution on floor.
  • The operator should wear working clothes, goggles, masks and protective gloves in line with OHSAS rules.
  • In case of eye contact, rinse eyes with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately.

Surface Preparation
  • Surface should be freed from residues that prevent adhesion, such as dust, oil, dirt, paint, curing material and bitumen.
  • Damaged sections of concrete, surface fractures and static cracks should be repaired with YAPIFINE MEND EPOXY 2C Repair Mortar.
  • After surface preparation, rupture strength of ground concrete should be minimum 1.5 N/mm2.

Application Conditions
  • Do not apply on surfaces exposed to sunlight for too long, as well as too hot and frozen surfaces.
  • Avoid application in temperatures below +10°C and above +30°C.
  • Area of application should be protected from effects of wind and direct sunlight during application.
  • Do not step on the surface during first 24 hours after application. Avoid condensation and water contact for 48 hours.
  • The indicated consumption amount is for informative purposes only. It may vary depending on application conditions and surface characteristics.
Mixture Preparation
  • Firstly, each component is blended with a low-speed mixer in their respective packaging. Then, combine two components and mix for a few more minutes to attain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Pot life of mixture is 40 minutes at +25°C. Higher temperatures extend the pot life, while lower temperatures shorten it.
  • Do not mix by hand.
Consumption
  •  Total theoretical consumption is 0.50 – 0.8 kg/m2.
